December 31st. 9AM, I'm going to the bakery/store. The weather doesn't look too good. People are already arriving, setting up their spot for the fireworks, that is like15 hours early (well, there is a family fireworks at 9PM too, still...)!
Do some clean up, prepare some things. 3PM went back to the store, the gates have been set up, the place (at the bottom of the bridge) is getting packed. Around 3:30PM our guests arrive. We chat, play some games.
At 7PM we take a walk around, see what's happening. It's packed outside. We just finished
our starter, when the first, family fireworks are ignited at 9PM. After starters we played Playstation Buzz, both the music and general quiz, which is really fun actually. I started a bit late on the main course (Salmon papillote with pasta/cheese sause), as we had it around 11:30PM, finished just in time for the main Sydney fireworks. We got onto the roof of our building (a privilege we had to pay AUD 15 for) to get a great, (almost) waterside view of the fireworks.
